While dating, each time Jeff and Ashley went away somewhere special Ashley’s mom would get all excited and take the special bottle of champagne she was saving (and hiding) out of the cupboard and chill it in the fridge….she was waiting patiently for the day that her only daughter would get engaged. And each time Ashley would come home without a ring on her finger, Ashley’s mom would have to sneak the celebration champagne out of the fridge and hide it for another day.
It was an engagement that had built up a great deal of anticipation for everyone because Jeff had asked Ashley’s dad for her hand in marriage only to have to wait two whole years for the perfect moment to pop the question!!
